In the application of a hydraulic force, the oil flow generated by a pump within a hydraulic circuit is used to move a hydraulic jack or a hydraulic motor, depending on whether the desired mechanical effect is linear or rotary. Every hydraulic system must possess certain fundamental elements, such as a generator unit, a control unit and a utilisation unit, as well as pipes, cylinders and any other accessories necessary to set such systems in motion.
